I’ve always made lists. I have lists of random things like “what foods can my pugs eat or not eat.” Whenever I travel, I make a list of everything I need to take with me. I like to write everything down so I have the ability to check each item off.
We all have lists. Many of these lists include grocery lists, daily lists or work reminders. The big question is do you have a bucket list or a list of goals you want to achieve? If you answered no to this question, I would advise you to start making one. If you are thinking “why do I need to write down my goals or big dreams I can remember them,” trust me you will achieve more once you can physically start marking each item off.
For as long as I can remember, I have made a list of goals for each year. I quickly realized that some of the goals were not attainable at the time. I got discouraged and stopped making yearly goals. Last year, instead of making a list of goals for the entire year, I decided to make a list of goals based off of my age. So for 2018, I created “35 Things to do my 35th Year.” I wrote down 35 things I knew I could achieve in one year. They were as big as traveling to Wyoming and as small as getting my first tattoo. The point is I pushed myself to make these goals happen and they did.
I’ve started my list for “36 Things to do my 36th Year” and I would like to share it with you. It is not officially complete as I’m still deciding on another adventure to take toward the end of the year:
1) Be consistent in my daily life
2) Meditate at the end of the day
3) Keep a gratitude journal
4) Change the way I eat
5) Get a facial
